I had only finished binge watching the series on Amazon Prime number, when I knew I had to have this cookbook! I accept been a fan of both for years, and this book is incredible. Each page has a commentary from each chef almost a recipe or technique and I have learned so much. At times, the 2 respectfully disagree, and that makes information technology an even more interesting read. I consider myself an achieved at home cook, and this has simply fabricated me that much better. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful to spotter these ii working together. They enjoy each other'due south company and Jacques was and then lovingly helpful with Julia in her declining years. I made their salary, egg and dill pickle potato salad - yummmmm. I read a complaint that the receipts were too simple coming from such dandy chefs. I don't think haute cuisine was the point of this offering. It was to encourage people to try new things and savour the experience. I'm an above average home melt and I learned something new or innovative with each evidence. I'll picket it again and again.

A lady with class and a main chef with excellent teaching skills and a lot of humor. My hero. Jacques , another master chef with a remarkable career and superb techniques , together to offer to the everyday twenty-four hour period melt similar me, a wide choice of classic dishes and meals to be produce at home. This series content is first-class but this review is based on the bad product of the disks. Both the original and replacement item had a coding mistake on disk 4 in the middle of the duck episode. This error causes the DVD player to stop. Prior to stopping, large pixels of dark-green flash on the screen. The disk was payed on multiple players and a laptop. All 3 encountered this optical error.
I hope a new batch is released in the near time to come without this defect.

Tin't go wrong with Jacques and Julia. They have a perfect chemical science when working together. Wish this book had a DVD. :( It'south so much more than fun to WATCH them. Recipes are easy from what I'one thousand reading for the most part. Some crave more advanced knowledge, and/or hard to find items for recipe unless yous have a culinary shop near you. Yummy recipes it looks similar, from homey food to fancy food. :)

I've used this for years every bit a go to for delicious dinner or dessert. Jacques and Julia have the same meal and give u.s. 2 dissimilar recipes. They are clearly written for the medium level cook - like me. Subsequently talking to my cousin for near an hr about my favorite recipes, I sent her a book of her own. (Used books are terrific for that)

I had to order this twice. The offset DVD fix came and the second DVD stopped at eggs and wouldn't play. The second DVD set did the same thing only so I watched desserts at the cease of the DVD and tried eggs again only hoping and it worked. Very strange. If you get-go eggs and simply get commercials then try to watch dessert and go back to eggs on the menu and it may work.
